Pompano Beach has always welcomed its many visitors with our three and a half miles of white, pristine beaches will surely draw those who enjoy a quite, relaxing stroll, with the refreshing Atlantic Ocean gently lapping the shore, or for those seeking more action, a trip to Pompano Park Racing & Poker to watch and cheer on their favorite horse and driver will be more to their liking.
Fishing, boating, scuba diving and more are here to enjoy, along with major sporting events only a short drive away. Some of the most challenging golf courses you will find anywhere can be found in Pompano Beach as well as great shopping in many fine boutique shops and the new, soon to be completely renovated Pompano Citi Centre Mall.

Fort Lauderdale’s canals and charm have earned it the nickname “The Venice of America.” The beaches offer 23 miles of golden sand, lively with the spirited antics of happy vacationers. Sail the blue-green waters on a chartered catamaran, or dive beneath the surface to meet- and-greet the local sea life. Shopping and dining al fresco on Las Olas Boulevard is one of Fort Lauderdale’s greatest pleasures, thanks to adorable shops and prime people-watching.

The “locals” refer to this area as the A1A strip due to the line of restaurants and bars that are across the street from the beach. “Well maintained beach”
I am not particularly a massive fan of beaches, but Fort Lauderdale is a really nice, clean well maintained all sand beach. Facilities are limited directly on the beach, but you are only across the road from the main beach front shops / bars etc.

Take a Water Taxi and cruise the Intracoastal Waterways-
Vacation Rental Gizmo suggests a leisure trip on the water taxi which is only 10 mins away from most of our vacation rental homes. Cruise along the Intracoastal stopping at frequent restaurants and bars during the day, disembark when you wish and hop back aboard when you are ready.
"Water taxi was a good way to get around the waters on FLL. There were 22 stops with a transfer point if u wanted to go to the Hollywood Beach area. I would use this service again on my next trip to this area."

"This is an area in Ft. Lauderdale that caters to the well-heeled. Lots of great shops and restaurants. Just be forewarned that it is difficult to find parking. Best parking is about two blocks over, but is worth the effort"
